Overview

An integral member of an enterprise business improvement group, this role involves executing enterprise-wide change management activities across transformational programs including the implementation of large-scale technology and operational platforms.  Partners with internal customers to plan and execute necessary changes to operating models that support modernization efforts.  Participates in the definition, creation and implementation of organizational change management (OCM) framework and activities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Participate in and execute an enterprise-wide, large-scale modernization program focused on developing and participating in all change management activities. Understand organizational requirements to transition to future state and implement change program to enable adoption of new processes and technology to support business capabilities.
  • Support the assessment, development, and implementation of the following OCM activities: governance, stakeholder analysis, change readiness/impact assessments, communications and engagement plan, culture and behavior changes, change champion network, training plans, knowledge sharing capabilities, and operating model changes.
  • Review enterprise-wide programs or projects and determine OCM priorities and plans. 
  • Outline how organization structure, people development, jobs, teams, and roles need to change to enable future state business processes.
  • Build relationships across the organization to lead and support change management network of champions to enable consistent delivery of OCM.
  • Support overall transformation program including business capability modeling, process redesign, business data requirements, cost-benefit analysis, tracking and reporting, and program management. 
  • Monitor and report OCM progress including risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.
  • Define and measure success of change management across programs. 

Skills Qualifications

Required:

  • Knowledge of change management and organizational development
  • Experience in transformational programs 
  • Ability to mobilize resources to execute and identify and remove obstacles to change
  • Ability to think strategically and critically
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Functions with a high degree of independence - can identify, analyze and evaluate needs and problem solve
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels across the organization
  • Ability to accept change easily and act as a change agent
  • Ability to influence others
  • Experience with learning and development tools, business process modeling, data visualization tools, RPA tools Preferred:
  • Knowledge and experience in the life insurance industry preferred
  • Experience in consulting and program / project management preferred
  • Knowledge of enterprise-wide tools and technology such as enterprise resource planning or customer relationship management platforms

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or IT
  • 3+ years as a client-facing consultant or in an internal consulting group within an insurer; 5+ years of total experience Preferred:
  • Change Management Certification 

Compensation

The wage range for this role takes into account a broad array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The range below applies as long as the work is performed in Connecticut; the Knights of Columbus reserves the right to adjust the wage range if the position is performed in another location.  At the Knights of Columbus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $104,500-172,400
