Overview

The manager of social media content production plays an integral role in developing and executing the content creation plan for the entire Knights of Columbus organization. Working in partnership with the Director of Social Media and other teams within the Knights, including marketing and editorial, this professional will both help create a plan to spur engagement across all channels, while also taking the lead in the production of the assets - photographic, video and written - that will tell our story. This professional will have a strong understanding of performance metrics and how they can be utilized to improve campaign effectiveness and brand awareness. A strong collaborator, the manager will be able to develop and manage editorial calendars while also ensuring complete alignment with the rest of the organization. Must have previous managerial experience.

Core Responsibilities

 

  • Lead content creation for Knights social media channels in all formats written, photographic and video.
  • Work closely with Director of Social Media and Corporate Communications team in developing integrated social media calendar.
  • Collaborate with other divisions in identifying new content opportunities that increase engagement and help drive membership growth.
  • Utilize social media metrics to monitor performance against benchmarks and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Support the teams efforts in identifying emerging trends and platforms that could utilized to improve performance.
  • Lead community management efforts across the Knights channels with a customer first mindset.
  • Related duties as needed.

 

Skills Qualifications

Required:
  • 5-7 years in a content creation role, ideally for social media channels, including video, photography and copywriting Preferred:
  • past experience in creating content for Catholic organizations, for example a church, diocese, school

Education

Required:

  • B.A. in Social Media, Communications, Film or Video production, Photography, Journalism or related fields or comparable experience

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the teaching of the Catholic Church and hierarchy as well as the Knights of Columbus preferred

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the workday.
