Here is what our interns have to say!
Mario Milos (Summer ‘24 Finance Intern)
During my internship with the Knights of Columbus, I collaborated with the budget team to support expense management, budget forecasting, and various financial planning tasks. My coworkers were incredibly welcoming, making my experience both enriching and enjoyable. I supported budget-related and analytical tasks, using Microsoft Excel and SAP products to ensure the accounting department's success.
A highlight of my time with the Knights was attending daily Mass in the Knights’ chapel with professionals and my fellow interns for the first 20 minutes of my lunch break. This was an incredible opportunity to escape the fast-paced world of business, grow in my catholic faith, and connect with others on a more personal level.
Lauren Strong (Summer ‘23 Actuarial Intern and current employee)
Interning at the Knights of Columbus was an incredible opportunity. I was able to learn about the realistic day-to-day life of an actuary and felt like I was able to contribute to meaningful projects. Everyone in my team was always willing to help and wanted to ensure that I was learning practical things for future career success.
The internship also provided a lot of opportunities to network, including with interns from other departments.
Liam Foley (Summer ‘23 SK Office and ‘24 Data & Analytics Intern)
My experience with the Knights of Columbus in the Data Analytics Center of Excellence was an incredible opportunity to prepare for data analysis in a professional environment. I refined my knowledge of a few industry-standard applications and learned the stages of the data development processes with a supportive team and mentor. This internship made me think critically and engaged me in challenges that no classroom could have prepared me for.
Also, I felt that I was serving a higher purpose in advancing the charitable mission of the Knights of Columbus, and I left knowing that my work contributed to the work of the department and organization as a whole.
Hannah Jensen (Summer ’22 and Fall ’23 Investment Marketing Intern)
My internship at the Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors was a pivotal experience in my professional journey. As an Investments Intern, I gained invaluable insights into marketing investment strategies, explored our diverse product offerings, and honed my skills in database and client reporting. The experience and mentorship I received allowed me to contribute meaningfully to multiple projects, and the knowledge I acquired shaped my understanding of the financial industry.
This internship not only enriched my skill set but also led to my official hire into the firm, marking the beginning of a promising career with the Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors.
