Overview
The Director of Digital Marketing will be responsible for building our community and projecting our brand by managing the Digital Marketing team, responsible for building and executing on strategy for organic and paid social media advertising campaigns on platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Yext, Google, Bing and others, as well as managing paid search campaigns.
The Director of Digital Marketing will also be responsible for understanding business goals and objectives and must be able to guide their team in analyzing and clearly explaining platform and campaign performance as well as recommending improvements.
Additionally, this role is expected to stay on the cutting edge of evolving search engine marketing and digital advertising tactics and will be encouraged to bring forward suggestions for new digital advertising channels and platforms.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end process of developing, deploying, and optimizing organic social media and paid search, display, and video campaigns in support of business goals
- Manage the parties responsible for organic social channels, online community management, and influencer research and connections
- Identify the best digital channels and targeting techniques to reach a target audience
- Own and maintain digital marketing audience personas and their journeys
- Budget allocation and management across digital advertising channels
- Keyword research, selection, testing, and optimization strategy
- Guide and manage ad copy creation, image selection, testing, and optimization for all business units, in partnership with stakeholders on the marketing team and beyond
- Works in partnership with UI/UX to test landing pages and recommend improvements based on overall digital marketing results
- Lead community management strategy across the Knights’ channels with a “customer first” mindset.
- Reporting and analysis of all digital campaign performance
- Personalization and Experimentation strategy across web, ads, and email to drive leads, adoption, and conversions.
Skills Qualifications
Required:
- Working knowledge of YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, TikTok, and others.
- Ability to seek out and implement the latest digital advertising tactics
- Extensive experience using Google Ads (certification preferred)
- Experience using Google products (including but not limited to) Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker, and Google Search Console
- Experience using Marketo or similar platforms
- Experience in campaign strategy creation, communication, management, and proactive account performance troubleshooting
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the Marketing and Customer Experience team
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and manage priorities
- Positive attitude, driven, and an energetic team player
- Experience managing vendors
- Experience managing a small team

Compensation
The wage range for this role takes into account a broad array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The range below applies as long as the work is performed in Connecticut; the Knights of Columbus reserves the right to adjust the wage range if the position is performed in another location. At the Knights of Columbus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $112,000 - $190,500.
