Join the headquarters of the world's largest Catholic fraternal organization and be on the ground floor of a newsroom filled with like-minded, creative and passionate people. You will produce must-see content in all its forms for, social media and KOC publications to amplify the PR goals of the Knights of Columbus, boost membership and advance the Order's brand. One day you'll be writing about a saint. The next, flying into a hurricane-ravaged town. You will be in the middle of the March for Life and telling the stories of Christian refugees. It's time to break the shackles, let loose and redefine what it means to communicate and tell stories.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create high-level, unique, creative and effective written content for the .org, social media and KOC publications.
  • Work with the PR leadership on effective communications strategies.
  • Work with Fraternal and KOC Charities departments on content that will help recruiting, member communications and fundraising.
  • Produce photos and video as necessary.

Skills Qualifications


  • Must have knowledge of the Catholic Church. Must be willing to develop expertise in the Knights of Columbus culture, principles and practices
  • Must be an idea machine
  • Must be an excellent writer
  • Must be a social media maven and understand its uses to further PR goals and objectives
  • Must be able to develop and implement PR plans
  • Must be able to use metrics to shape content
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be a risk taker
  • Must be a great, supportive teammate
  • Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint



  • BS or BA degree
  • 5 years related public relations or equivalent combination of training and experience


  • Experience with charitable or non-profit organization particularly helpful

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the workday.
