The manager of financial communications is a major contributor to the success of both Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors (nearly $30 billion in assets under management) and Knights of Columbus Insurance (more than $116 billion of insurance in force). Working in partnership with both divisions as well as the Knights of Columbus Marketing team, this professional will develop content that will raise the profile of our insurance and investment products, including Knights of Columbus Mutual Funds. Responsibilities include media relations, content creation, events, product launch and sustainment support, press releases as well as web and social media content. Visibility for the role will be high within the organization and will involve frequent collaboration with the senior executive team as well as outside partners and agencies. Strong collaborative skills as well as an understanding of performance metrics and how they can be utilized to improve campaign effectiveness and brand awareness are essential.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create promotional plans to raise awareness of Knights of Columbus investment and insurance products to drive revenue growth, brand awareness, new client acquisition and retention.
  • Work closely with partner agencies to secure media opportunities and placements for senior leadership to position KoCAA as thought leaders and best in class in the faith-based and ESG space.
  • Collaborate with other divisions in identifying new content opportunities that increase engagement and help drive customer growth.
  • Utilize data metrics to monitor campaign performance and drive performance improvement.
  • Support the teams efforts in identifying emerging news trends, platforms and third party financial service providers that could support marketing and communications goals.
  • Lead development of prep materials for senior executives in support of presentations to external audiences, including the media and financial community.
  • Serve as primary liaison to Compliance Division on behalf of KoCAA in review of all external communications and marketing materials.
  • Related duties as needed.

Skills Qualifications

  • 5-7 years in a financial communications role, with a strong understanding of the financial services industry, ideally the asset management as well as the insurance industry
  • A practical Catholic that supports and believes in the mission of the Knights of Columbus Preferred:
  • Past experience in creating content for Catholic organizations, for example a church, diocese, school


  • B.A. in Communications or Journalism Preferred:
  • Coursework or knowledge of the financial service industry or capital markets
