Overview

The Senior Agent Talent Development Specialist – LMS is a critical partner in developing, delivering, and administering all virtual training supporting the Field Sales Force. This individual oversees the Learning Management System – KofC University, a multifaceted platform that houses all training resources, regulatory training, media, and tools for our Field Sales Force. This position requires advanced initiative management skills and the ability to embrace new technologies. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, committed to meeting tight deadlines, and able to collaborate with multiple business units and external vendors.

Core Responsibilities

    • Manage training content (SCORM files, PDFs, Videos, Podcasts), tracks, courses, modules, assignments, permissions, groups, rules, notifications, events, user accounts, and tools in the Learning Management System.
    • Test and deploy all e-learning resources and assigned training.
    • Provide technical support for the Field Sales Force on the Learning Management System, including managing user accounts, assisting with navigation, and instructing users on how to use enhancements/tools. Develop and publish procedural documents to help with user support.
    • Strategize with the Director of Agent Talent Development on enhancements for the LMS to ensure we are creating the best user experience for the Field Sales Force.
    • Lead the implementation of annual enhancements and IT updates to the LMS. This includes coordinating meetings and communicating with the LMS vendor, Pinpoint, and internal IT. Lead enhancement testing in the LMS UAT environment. Coordinate deployments for enhancements to production.
    • Lead collaboration with the subject matter experts to design, develop, and deliver training resources in various formats via the LMS. Maintain and revamp current resource pages as needed.
    • Manage and enhance the design of the LMS throughout the year, including updating banners, tiles, content, event calendar, and resources housed within the LMS to ensure consistency and updated messaging and branding.
    • Develop, edit, and grow the Media Center on the LMS. This includes promoting podcasts, working with podcast hosts, editing, and releasing podcasts quarterly.
    • Collaborate on the instructional design, course development, implementation, and administration of e­Learning training programs.
    • Track and guide agents on their designated Education Tracks and Series 65. This includes processing enrollments for FIC/F, reimbursements/charges, reporting on an agent’s attainment, and understanding the designations that formulate each Education Track (US, Canada, and Leadership).
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Qualifications

Required:

  • Understanding of virtual training and Learning Management Systems
  • Web training design and development experience
  • Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Articulate 360 Suite - Storyline 360, Replay 360, Rise 360
  • Adobe Programs – Premiere Pro and Photoshop
  • Canva
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of virtual systems, conducting, and editing
  • Ability to independently and proactively solve problems

Preferred:

  • Insurance industry and annuity products experience
  • Ingenium experience
  • Pinpoint LMS experience

Education

Required:

  • BS or BA degree or requisite experience
  • 5+ years of related experience or equivalent
  • Instructional Design and Training Certifications

Compensation

The wage range for this role takes into account a broad array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The range below applies as long as the work is performed in Connecticut; the Knights of Columbus reserves the right to adjust the wage range if the position is performed in another location.  At the Knights of Columbus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $69,600 - 115,000.
