Compensation

The wage range for this role takes into account a broad array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The range below applies as long as the work is performed in Connecticut; the Knights of Columbus reserves the right to adjust the wage range if the position is performed in another location.  At the Knights of Columbus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $85,400 - $140,900.

Overview

The Senior Budget Analyst is responsible for assisting in preparing and monitoring of financial information on a day-to-day and planning (budgets, forecasts,) basis, supporting financial tools and financial models, preparing schedules, analysis and reporting, customer engagement on inquires on financial results and providing guidance, and other activities as requested. The Senior Budget Analyst will be responsible for supervising the Financial Analyst positions.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, analyzing, reporting, and monitoring/controlling of financial materials for cost center owners including engagement of various internal and external personnel on defined and ad-hoc basis.
  • Develop a sustainable process for monitoring and communication to assist in control of the financial results.
  • Analyze and communicate results of comparative financial results to various internal and external personnel.
  • Support and contribute to the development and enhancements of the financial management process, financial tools, and financial models.
  • Interact with various levels of internal and external personnel for inquiries and providing guidance.
  • Lead the analysis of expense trends to support analysis, reporting, and communication with recommendations

Systems/Technical Knowledge:

  • SAP tools for transactional and planning

Education

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • 3-5 years of insurance industry experience and/or data analysis experience

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the workday.
