Contractor Work Schedule
- 3-month contract
- Saturday and Sunday availability
- Work hours 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Overview
Core Responsibilities
- Provides professional, efficient, and approachable support and excellent customer service
- Welcomes visitors upon arrival; orients them to the McGivney Center and informs them of exhibits and activities available
- Responds to visitor questions or requests
- Alerts security staff of emergencies or public safety concerns
- Reports concerns, problems or visitor issues in a prompt, efficient manner.
- Facilitates video and interactive presentations when required
- Conducts in-person tours and offsite or online (virtual) presentations pertaining to McGivney Center exhibits
- Coordinates and cooperates with Knights of Columbus employees and contracted staff to ensure smooth visitor operations and good visitor experience
- Assists with special events and performs other duties as may reasonably be required
- Serves as back up to Gift Shop Services
Skills Qualifications
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
- Confidence speaking publicly and ability to work with groups of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to interact in professional demeanor with visitors and other staff members
- Must be responsible, flexible, punctual and able to work under pressure
- Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts, and extended hours if required
- Comfortable familiarity with Father Michael McGivney, the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Church history.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English; fluency in other languages is beneficial Preferred:
- Proficiency in cash handling preferred
